MISS DACULA PAGEANT RULES & REGULATIONS
Theme: “Dream It. Be It.”
Pageant Date: April 18, 2026 | 10:00 AM | Dacula High School
1. ELIGIBILITY
Participants must meet one of the following:

Girls ages 4-18
-
Must live in the Dacula cluster
-
OR may live outside the cluster and compete for Greater Miss Dacula titles
Age divisions:
-
Tiny Miss (Pre-k-Kindergarten)
-
Little Miss (1st-2nd grade)
-
Young Miss (3rd-4th grade)
-
Miss Pre-Teen (5th grade)
-
Miss Jr-Teen (6th grade)
-
Miss Teen (7th grade)
-
Miss Freshman (8th grade)
-
Miss Sophomore (9th grade)
-
Miss Junior (10th grade)
-
Miss Dacula (11th grade)
-
Miss Dacula Collegiate (12th grade)
-
Community- Miss Greater Dacula (Pre-K-12th grade as needed, depending on # of Greater Dacula participants)
Contestants compete in the age division they are in on April 18, 2026.
2. MANDATORY CATEGORIES
All contestants must compete in:
1. Formal Wear
-
Age-appropriate, floor-length gowns for grades 6–12
-
Tea-length or full-length gowns for grades Pre-k–5
-
No overly revealing attire
2. On-Stage Introduction
-
Contestants introduce themselves (Name, Grade, School).
3. Interview (Grades 6–12 only)
-
Group or panel-style interview
-
Attire: School-appropriate Sunday dress or interview outfit
-
3. OPTIONAL CATEGORIES (Additional Fee)
-
Photogenic
-
Community Service Essay
-
Talent (2-minute max)
-
People’s Choice (voting-based)
Optional categories do not affect the overall division winner.
4. EXPECTATIONS & CONDUCT
Contestants must:
-
Be respectful to all staff, judges, parents, and peers
-
Display good sportsmanship at all times
-
Arrive on time for rehearsals
-
Follow attire guidelines
-
Maintain appropriate online behavior on social media
Parents/Guardians must:
-
Model respect and good sportsmanship
-
Refrain from negative comments about judges, contestants, or other families
-
Not approach judges at any time
-
Not interfere with backstage staff or volunteers
Violation of conduct may lead to disqualification.
5. REHEARSALS
-
Rehearsals are mandatory unless otherwise noted
-
Dates will be provided at the interest meeting and in the parent packet
-
Participants are encouraged to arrive dressed in themed wear and bring water
-
Missing two or more rehearsals can result in removal from opening number or category
6. PAGEANT DAY GUIDELINES
-
Contestants must be signed in by designated times
-
Hair and makeup should be age-appropriate
-
No inappropriate stage behavior, dancing, or expressions
-
Only assigned volunteers allowed backstage
-
No parents backstage
-
Only one Hair and/or MUA artist allowed in dressing room & must have pass
-
Only one (female) guardian allowed in the dressing room with participant
7. SCORING
Judges score independently. All decisions are final.

Scores will not be released.
8. AWARDS
Each division will crown:

Queen

1st Runner-Up

2nd Runner-Up
Optional titles:

Best Dressed (per division)

Photogenic Winner

Talent Winner

People’s Choice
-
Miss Congeniality
Queens will have opportunities to:

Attend community events
-
Participate in the Dacula Parade

Be featured on the pageant website/social media

Represent the school/community throughout the year

9. PAYMENT, FEES & REFUND POLICY
-
All fees must be paid in full by posted deadlines
-
Late payments may incur a fee
-
Optional categories require additional payment

All pageant fees are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to:
-
Withdrawal
-
Schedule conflicts
-
Illness
-
Disqualification
-
Failure to attend rehearsals
-
Change of interest
-
This applies to registration fees, optional category fees, ad sales, tickets, and deposits.
10. DISQUALIFICATION
A contestant may be disqualified for:

Failure to follow rules
-
Inappropriate behavior by contestant or parent
-
Missing mandatory rehearsals
-
Dishonesty or misrepresentation
-
Social media misconduct
-
Inappropriate attire or behavior
No refunds will be issued in cases of disqualification.
11. SAFETY & MEDIA
-
Emergency contact info must be provided
-
Parents grant permission for photos/videos to be used in promotional materials
-
No recording during interview portions
-
No flash photography during pageant
-
12. AFTER THE PAGEANT
Queens and runners-up may be invited for:
-
Photoshoots
-
Meet & Greet events
-
Community appearances
-
Pageant promotional opportunities
Participation is optional but highly encouraged.
13. COMMUNICATION
-
All official announcements will be sent via email and posted in the parent group
-
It is the responsibility of each family to check updates
-
Please allow 48 hours for responses to emails/messages
